The flexible nature of this system provides for easy access for inspection or repair long after the original application. The system demonstrates excellent cohesion after installation, and provides a high degree of environmental protection, while still allowing for easy removal and antenna bonding. Currently, Av-DEC® produces over 1000 different antenna gasket footprints.

Av-DEC antenna gaskets and Av-DEC specialty gaskets are designed for use as environmental sealants whose flexible nature provides easy access for inspection or repair long after the product has initially been applied to a surface. Both types of gaskets also demonstrate excellent cohesion after installation and provide a high degree of environmental protection while allowing for easy removal.
The consistent and easy installation provided by the gasket materials assures proper sealing with 100% contact between the surface and the gasket. Also, the non-hazardous, polyurethane material has no silicone oil residue before, during or after installation or upon removal, has no issues with paint adhesion or preparation and no peripheral silicone contamination is evident.
Because the gasket products are placed under extreme circumstances excellent material memory and elasticity is crucial. This elasticity and memory allows sealing to remain maintained during vibration and thermal expansion and contraction.

Will Bogert currently serves as the Commercial Programs Manager for Av-DEC®. His responsibilities include all aspects of customer and engineering support for all Commercial programs worldwide. In this role he works closely with engineers and management of each of the airlines, regional airlines, business jets, helicopter services, general aviation, repair stations and all the major OEMs.
Mr. Bogert has worked for Av-DEC® since 2001. He previously worked for Dixie Aerospace as the Business Development Manager. Dixie was a distributor for Av-DEC® so he has had practical knowledge of the Av-DEC® products since just after the company's inception. Mr. Bogert has worked in the Aerospace Community since 1994 where he worked for Aviall as a National Account Manager. He is a graduate of The University of North Texas in Denton, TX where he earned a BBA degree in Marketing Management.
Brendan has been working in the Aerospace industry for 12 years and has been with Av-DEC® since 2008. Currently he serves as the Commercial Airline Regional Program Manager. Mr. Ryan has experience both domestically and internationally with OEM's as well as commercial and military accounts. With these accounts he does work for major aviation based manufacturers of Avionics Systems and mechanical products. As an Av-DEC® employee, Brendan covers a variety of airline accounts both major and minor in the commercial market in addition to commercial OEM work as the primary contact for all levels and phases of account management. In addition to other work, Brendan also served in the US Army for 5 years as a Training NCO, an M1A1 Armored crewman gunner, and loader and driver. He is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas with a BBA in marketing and currently resides in Texas.
Becky Kern began her career in the aviation industry 16 years ago. In 1994 she began selling PMA Aircraft Engine Parts and Chemicals for AAR Corporation. In 2001 Ms. Kern began selling Av-DEC® corrosion preventative products while employed by Arger Enterprises. In April of 2004 she began selling directly for Av-DEC® and has been with the company ever since. Her tasks as a member of the Commercial Sales Team include selling to Airlines, Regional Airlines, Business Jets and OEM's all over the country. Born and raised in California, Ms. Kern currently resides in Ohio.
Andy Baker has been with Av-DEC® since 2004 and currently serves as part of the commercial sales team. His responsibilities include engineering and fleet support for all currently approved aircraft as well as developing new applications and aircraft approvals.
Prior to working for Av-DEC®, Mr. Baker worked for Dixie Aerospace as both an Inside and Outside Sales Representative for 8 years where he gained his initial knowledge of Av-DEC®'s product line.
Mr. Baker is a graduate of the University of West Georgia where he received his BBA in Marketing. During his time there, he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Social Fraternity as well as serving 1 year as the President of Phi Chi Theta Business Fraternity.
Vic Cason is a 26 year veteran of the aviation industry holding positions with FAR 145 repair stations, manufacturers, after market suppliers and MRO's. During that time Vic has developed long term relationships and business opportunities with passenger airlines, cargo operators, military contractors, corporate flight departments, heavy maintenance providers and OEM's.
His experience includes airframe and power plant products and services for fixed and rotor wing aircraft.
Jay has been working in the Aerospace industry for 29 years and joined Av-DEC® in 2012. Starting out as a Structural Engineer, he began working on the KC-10A program with McDonnell Douglas in Long Beach, CA. He then worked at NASA Langley on fly-to-space aircraft programs and the Space Station before returning to McDonnell Douglas to work on the MD-11. Jay then worked his way up to MD-11 Product Manager before leaving to sell finite element analysis software. He then sold commercial aircraft for McDonnell Douglas and Boeing for five years. Follow-on to that Jay spent seven years in International Business Development with 3M Aerospace, developing and launching new products for aircraft use. Just prior to joining Av-DEC® Jay held the position of Boeing Key Account Manager for Carlisle Interconnect.
Jay earned a BSME at the University of Arizona and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
Jon Jacobson has been in the Aerospace industry for 9 years, and joined Av-DEC® in 2014. Jon began his Aerospace career with Aero-Instruments in Inside Sales. He was promoted to Product Manager for their General Aviation and Defense Air Data Sensor product line, were he managed the sales and marketing activities for Aero-Instruments General Aviation and Defense customers. He was later promoted to the Commercial Aviation Product Manager were he led the development of a new Air Data Sensor product line focusing on the Commercial Airline market. Jon has experience working with aircraft OEM's, airlines, repair stations, and MRO's both domestically and internationally. Jon earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Kent State University.
Brett Thompson has been with Av-DEC since the summer of 2015, after spending 19 years as a public school teacher in the state of Texas.
Brett is responsible for assisting with developing new opportunities with business jets, as well as air medical, aerial firefighting, airborne law enforcement, and general aviation. He is also responsible for building the nascent commercial sUAS/UAV market for Av-DEC.
Born and raised in Texas, Brett received his BBS from Hardin-Simmons University, and resides in Willow Park, Texas.

Dave Schmidt currently serves as the Military Programs Manager for Av-DEC®. His responsibilities include all aspects of customer and engineering support for all Military programs. In this role he works closely with engineers and management of each of the services and all the major OEMs.
Mr. Schmidt retired from the U.S. Coast Guard after 22 years of service. He last served as the Corrosion Control Program Manager for the aviation fleet where he worked closely with all the military corrosion program offices and members of the JCAG (Joint Corrosion Action Group). With this team he worked on a wide variety of corrosion prevention projects.
Don Davis has been with Av-DEC® since 2003 and currently serves as the Air Force Program Manager. His responsibilities include gaining approvals for the Air Force fleet and T.O implementation, as well as sales growth improvement. Mr. Davis's work with the Air Force developed from his membership from 1970 until 2003. His experience with multiple roles, such as an USAF Airframe Repair Specialist, MOANG Airframe Repair Instructor, and MOANG Structural Maintenance Tech/Fabrication Supervisor, provide him with the knowledge and skills to successfully maintain his responsibilities. Mr. Davis was also the recipient of a significant amount of awards during his time with the United States Air Force ranging from the Presidential Service Metal to the Air Force Longevity Service award.
Chris Cowley is a retired Chief Master Sergeant with 29 years of service with the Wyoming Air National Guard. He has over 30 year's civilian and military experience in structural and corrosion repair. He also spent the last 5 years as the Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent. He served as the National Guard Bureau's C-130 single point of contact for corrosion for over 20 years. He has deployed numerous times for several contingencies.
As a member of the Military Sales Program at Av-DEC®, Rick Freeman is responsible for business development and technical support to the U. S. Navy, U. S. Marine Corps and U. S. Army aviation communities, Royal Canadian Air Forces as well as the Gulf Coast petroleum helicopter operators. Rick joined the Av-DEC® team in January of 2012.
While serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, Rick earned the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer (E-9) during 30 years of active service. He worked in the aviation maintenance arena during most of that period, acquiring knowledge while assisting younger members develop a working knowledge of the Coast Guard's well-respected ethical beliefs and aircraft maintenance practices. He served for seven years as the Command Master Chief of a North Florida based counter-narcotics aviation unit that successfully executed scores off-shore drug seizures netting an estimated street value of over seven billion dollars of contraband. While on active duty Rick earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Excelsior College and obtained his FAA Airframe & Power Plant License.
Today, Rick provides his Av-DEC® customer base and his colleagues with the same level of support and attention to detail that his military colleagues grew to depend on during his military service. Rick Freeman also works closely with his Military Sales Manager Dave Schmidt in the overall support of Av-DEC®'s Military Sales Program.
As a member of the Military Sales Team at Av-DEC®, Mr. Roger Mills serves as Coast Guard Program Manager. He provides engineering and technical support for agency aircraft in addition to development of new Av-DEC® product applications within the Coast Guard fleet. Mr. Mills also serves as an Av-DEC® field service representative to the United States Army providing customer service to program offices, corrosion managers, depot, and field level units. In addition, he is also responsible for supporting and developing approvals for the Australian Defense Force.
Mr. Mills joined AVDEC in 2008 bringing over 27 years of military aviation maintenance experience. During his tenure in the United States Coast Guard he held several positions including aviation maintenance technician, aircraft maintenance manager, quality assurance inspector, and helicopter air crewman, serving his last position in the highly distinguished position of Command Master Chief at Air Station Houston, Texas. Mr. Mills holds a FAA Airframe and Power Plant License and is a graduate of Bishop State Community College with a degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology. He has also earned a diploma from Alabama Aviation and Technical College.
Today, Mr. Mills brings his same relentless work ethic and dedication to the Av-DEC® sales team. His in-depth knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices combined with his expertise in the Av-DEC® product line has resulted in the U.S. Coast Guard realizing significant reduction in corrosion costs while increasing aircraft readiness throughout the fleet.
